We are the breeders behind WigglyButts Aussies. My name is Carmen Cooper and fiancé Jim MacMillan. Jim grew up in Central, New Jersey while I was adopted from Romania and raised in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire. We met in 2017, building our life together and family. We do not have children but we do have fur babies. We aren’t your typical couple though we have the same dreams and passion for raising and preserving Australian Shepherds.
Growing up, Jim and I have had different breeds of dogs who have now passed on. In the past, we’ve had a Springer Spaniel, Golden Retriever, Chocolate Lab, Havanese , Boarder Collies, German Shepherds, Plott Hound, and Mini Aussie.
Jim and I started this program in 2018 when we welcomed our 1st dog, Freestyle’s Magic Man, a beautiful Red Tri from Wiscasset, Maine. In May 2020 we welcomed our next member, Gypsy’s Crown Royal who came to us from Cheyenne, Wyoming. Gypsy also gave us our 1st litter in June 2020. We had 5 beautiful pups who went to amazing homes within New England. As we grew our program, we wanted to frame our program around Aussies that are low drive and fit into people’s lives as valued pets. We finally fell in love with our two newest girls in our program Wilma Flintstone and Genie in a Bottle. Genie & Wilma’s father Waylon, who is from Nebraska, is what captured our hearts and attention. Waylon has everything I had been dreaming about for a perfect Aussie inside and out.
We love seeing the excitement of families when our puppies head home! We love establishing relationships with our puppy families and stay updated on them as they grow.
As we say a tired Aussie, is a good Aussie.
